Creative Drama Against the Classical Education System!

Most training methods take place in physically static contexts. This situation drags the participant to a rote and passive position.

The classical education model offers only a cognitive education.

Creative Drama, on the other hand, deliberately demands physical, emotional, intellectual and moral participation from the participants. Physicality is particularly important for shaping the process of learning and meaning creation. This will put the participant in an active and active position in the training process.

Creative Drama provides permanence in education by addressing all of the cognitive, affective and kinetic aspects of the participant.


By opening a third area, drama creates a distance against problems through fictional characters and ensures the protection of those who will be directly affected by the subject studied in the group. If this is done skillfully, the real effects and consequences of the editing occur.


Creative drama models reality by using the language of drama through dramatic style.


A two-year international research was conducted on the power of the concept of drama in the exchange of participants with the support of the European Union and DICE drama research project.


The research was conducted with 5000 school students in about twelve countries. The aim of the research is to measure whether creative drama can improve five of the Lisbon Key Criteria in Education.


When the subjects and control groups were compared, 22 positive results of using Drama emerged.


The reason this; the use of stories and fictional stories provides empathy.


Research has shown that people respond to fiction as they do in real life. The editing seems to encourage participants to consider situations “other than existing”, which also supports the transformative power of creative drama.

This research has shown that educators using didactic approaches have the least influence (5%) in changing the attitudes of the participants in the training they provide. Official research shows that dramatic experience is one of the most effective training methods (90%) compared to other methods.


Thanks to the creative drama, which uses animations based on the experiences of the participants and includes games specially structured for each subject, the subject, presentations and notes are adapted to three-dimensional real life, that is, our lives, by getting rid of the two-dimensional narration.


The recognition and development of creative drama in Bursa will inevitably lead to a move away from the classical rote system. As a result, the transformative power of creative drama will increase with the knowledge of drama.
